Call for Participation

We are happy to announce that now we open the application from the world to join JapanOpen2026 Nagoya. This year, the venue is at Aichi prefecture, mid of Tokyo and Osaka. 

Unfortunately, there are not enough hotels because The F1 Japanese Grand Prix will be held at nearby site same time. We recommend you get provisional reserve of hotel(s).

Please follow the instruction to submit your application. We all are looking forward to meet many foreign teams in Japan this March. Sorry for short notice.

Schedule:

  • 27th March, 2026 1st day Setup day
  • 28th March, 2026 2nd day Opening ceremony, 1st game day
  • 29th March, 2026 3rd day 2nd game day, Closing ceremony

Team condition:

  • Member should be following numbers:
    • Soccer: 2 to 4
    • Rescue: 2 to 4
    • Onstage: 2 to 5
  • Rescue and Onstage league follows basically 2025 International rule. Soccer league follows basically 2026 International rule.  
  • A3 size (or less) poster presentation should be prepared by teams.

 

Leagues:

You can apply following leagues. The number inside () shows maximum slots we could invite from over sea.

  • Soccer Lightweight (2)
  • Soccer Open (1)
  • Rescue Line (2)
  • Rescue Maze (1)
  • Rescue Simulation (1)
  • OnStage (1)

* All leagues have no age group, just should follow international rule between 14 to 19 year old on 1st July 2026.

Application procedure:

Please submit TDP (Team Description Paper) or the presentation poster when you apply the registration form. 
For soccer league submission, you have to submit your presentation poster.
For other leagues submission, you have to submit the TDP.
Those documents should be made by team members.
On soccer league, you can submit the draft version of poster, but the poster should contains your team activities, your robots, or something for describing your team. 

We will screen with those document and we will announce the result until 20th Feb.
You have to pass this screening to participate this competition.
